RIYADH: Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman issued a series of royal decrees on Thursday ordering a reshuffle of key government roles across various sectors and regions of Saudi Arabia.
Among the major changes, Prince Mohammed bin Nasser bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud was relieved of his duties as Governor of the Jazan Region.
He was succeeded by Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz bin Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, appointed to the position with ministerial rank.
Additional appointments include: Prince Bandar bin Muqrin bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud as Advisor at the Royal Court (Excellent Rank).
Prince Nasser bin Mohammed bin Abdullah bin Jalawi Al-Saud as Deputy Governor of Jazan Region (Excellent Rank).
Prince Fahd bin Saad bin Faisal bin Saad Al-Saud, formerly a Shura Council member, as Deputy Governor of Al-Qassim Region (Excellent Rank).
Prince Dr. Abdulaziz bin Mohammed bin Abdulaziz bin Ayyaf Al-Muqrin, Special Advisor to the King, assigned to act as Deputy Minister of Interior.
Dr. Nasser bin Abdulaziz Al-Daoud, relieved from his role as Deputy Minister of Interior, appointed Deputy Minister of the National Guard (Ministerial Rank).
Fahd bin Abdullah Al-Askar appointed Deputy Chief of the Royal Court (Ministerial Rank).
Tamim bin Abdulaziz Al-Salem appointed Deputy Private Secretary to the King (Ministerial Rank).
Dr. Mohammed bin Saud bin Musa Al-Tamimi, relieved from his post as Governor of the Communications, Space and Technology Commission, appointed Governor of the National Emergency Management Authority (Ministerial Rank).
Dr. Inas bint Sulaiman bin Mohammed Al-Issa appointed Deputy Minister of Education (Excellent Rank).
Professor Abdullah bin Siraj bin Mustafa Zaqzouq appointed Head of Private Affairs for the Crown Prince (Excellent Rank).
